Yurii "Artek" Krasovskyi is a fan of the "Metalist" football club (Kharkiv), a representative of the "Army of the First Capital" team.
Yuriy Valeriyovych Krasovskyi was born on October 27, 1982 in the city of Kharkiv. He studied at school No. 152 in his hometown. From a young age, he was actively interested in the history of both his native land and Europe as a whole. The young years of the Kharkiv resident fell on the difficult 90s, so he immediately went to work after finishing school. Thirst for adventure and patriotic convictions led him to the "Metalista" fan stand in 1998, and a year later he joined the AFC team - one of the oldest among those existing today.
The story of the origin of his nickname among fans remained kind and at the same time simple in the memory of Yuri's friends. Somehow in the late 90s, while traveling to Kryvyi Rih, travelers began to take out their modest belongings from their backpacks. One of the boys took out of his pocket the "Artek" waffles known to everyone from childhood, after which it became his second name, and his youth was spent in frequent trips and football adventures. During this time, he continued to read a lot and deepen his knowledge of history.
At the beginning of the zero years, like all Ukrainian fanaticism, the Kharkiv movement was going through a transition period to, so to speak, a football-like format. AFC was far from the last team of the country here, as evidenced by their success in meetings with the capital's visavi. In 2004, Yuriy went to Kyiv's Maidan, where he became an active participant in the Orange Revolution. At the end of the 00s, he was one of those who tried with all his might to keep the Kharkiv football movement afloat, and once, together with seven other desperadoes, he came to Kyiv to fight. It was not possible to win then, but the brave men received respect from the fan community of the country.
After the untimely death of "Val" - the leader of the team in 2008, teammates unanimously entrusted management and decision-making to "Artek". In 2009, he got married, and two years later, he and his beloved had a son, Yehor. Soon after that, he decided to devote more time to his family, handing over the management of the team to younger comrades. With the start of the revolutionary events of 2014 in Kharkiv, Yuriy took a direct part in the opposition to the pro-Russian forces in the city and was one of those who did not allow the separatists to create the so-called People's Republic of China.
When the enemy began an invasion in the east of Ukraine, he took up arms in the ranks of one of the volunteer formations. Since 2015, he has been a member of the ATO as part of the 131st separate reconnaissance battalion. Friends recall that after the start of service, "Artek" switched to communication exclusively in Ukrainian, which was not such a frequent phenomenon for Kharkiv. In 2017, he became a soldier of the "Azov" regiment, joining the reconnaissance platoon with his teammate, the Hero of Ukraine - Stanislav "Metro". A year later, he enrolled in part-time studies at the Kharkiv National University named after Karazina, to the Faculty of History.
"Artek" met the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in the status of a civilian, because a year before that he had completed his service in "Azov". He took his family to a safe place, after which, like most Kharkiv fans, he picked up a weapon. Joined the 226th battalion of the Military Defense Forces, on the basis of which the "KRAKEN" unit would later be created. Yuriy Krasovsky died in battle near the village. Vilkhivka on March 25, 2022, having received bullet injuries in close fire contact with the enemy. This operation was one of the first attempts to liberate the occupied territory of Kharkiv region.
