Yuriy "Knight" Rudy is a fan of the football club "Karpaty" (Lviv) and the handball club "Halychanka" (Lviv).

Yuri Mykolayovych Rudy was born on May 9, 1998 in the city of Lviv. Went to city school No. 68. From a young age, he was drawn to knowledge, and most of all, he sought to study history. I read stories about the heroes of the national liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people. Battles, castles and exploits of the victors of past generations excited the imagination of the young man, who already had clearly formed patriotic views.

He did not lag behind in sports, played football, tried himself in boxing and mixed martial arts. But since childhood, the main topic for discussion was football. Relatives remember how when Yura was still small, while on summer vacation in the village, he and his friends used to subscribe to the Sportivka newspaper. They were constantly running to the post office to get a newspaper and there was only talk about how "Karpaty" played. Later, this passion for the game of the green and white team led him to the fan sector.

As a loyal fan, "Karpat" tried to support the team under any conditions, and in the 2018/19 season, he made a "Golden season". Participated in the creation of a large number of graffiti on the walls of the city, including the picture "Lviv Cup", which was used as a promo for the cup match against "Volyn" in the 2021/22 season. He initiated the creation of several graffiti for the birthday of his native club and constantly worked on improving the quality of drawings. Teammates remember their friend as the true soul of the company, both in the train carriage and on the stand during performances or other football-related events. On trips with Yura, you could discuss politics, nationalist-patriotic movements for hours. And so that no one wanted to go out to smoke.

In addition to the football team "Karpat", he actively cheered on the stands for the women's handball club "Halychanka". Coming to the team's match for the first time in 2013, I saw how selflessly the girls played against a principled opponent from Uzhgorod, how they responded to patriotic slogans. After that, together with several other people, they began to develop the women's handball sector. They also traveled to support the team in other cities.

Like the vast majority of fans, Yuri loved to travel in civilian life. He took an active part in public life, engaged in volunteer activities, helping orphans, as well as the military even before the start of a full-scale invasion. He was a participant in various actions, such as the dispersal of Russian artists in his hometown, commemoration of Ukrainian heroes, street raids against pro-Russian and other dubious elements. He supported the Lviv shooting range, where he actively practiced shooting.

When the enemy made a massive advance on our lands, Yuriy could not stand aside. With the first sirens, he explained to his parents that he had to go to defend Ukraine. Joining the ranks of the 125th brigade of the Russian Army and taking the call sign "Knight", in April he got to the Kharkiv direction, and after a short vacation he already fought in Bakhmut. In November 2022, he received a concussion, but in three days he gathered back to his brothers. Yuriy Rudy died on January 26, 2023. Being wounded, he helped his comrades in position and fought until his last breath.
