Yaroslav "Yarik" Rudych is a fan of the "Desna" football club (Chernihiv), a representative of the "Parny SS" team.

Yaroslav Vitaliyovych Rudych was born on January 30, 1995 in the city of Chernihiv. He studied at school No. 29, after which he obtained a higher pedagogical education at the Chernihiv Collegium National University named after T. G. Shevchenko. He also graduated from the Lviv Higher Professional Art School, majoring in painting. His main sports preferences were martial arts, he preferred boxing and deservedly defended the honor of his city in the ring.

From an early age, he supported the local football team "Desna", and since 2011 he began to attend home and away matches in the fan sections. He became a member of the first team of the "Parny Severnoy Stolytsy" football team immediately after its formation by a group of old friends. In the following years, the Chernihiv team gained the reputation of being ready to fight with anyone, and the name of the opponent does not mean anything. Teammates remember Yaroslav as a fighter who had a remarkable character. Being light in weight, he literally bit into his opponents.

He became an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity immediately after it began. With the beginning of the war in the East in 2014, "Yarik" went to the front as part of the Shakhtarsk volunteer battalion. Then there was service in the OUN (2015-16), and from 2020 he joined the ranks of the 1st separate battalion of marines (36 OBrMP). Between 2016 and 2020, he traveled around the country, studied and worked at the same time.

While studying in Lviv, he met his true love - the talented artist Kateryna Skladanovska. They loved each other and planned to get married. But "Yarik" never found himself in civilian life. He was a very principled person and he was always sure that when there was a war in the country, his place was at the front.

On December 27, 2021, in the village of Hnutove, near Mariupol, an enemy drone dropped a VOG at Yaroslav's feet. He received complex injuries from the explosion, the fragments shattered his bones. Subsequently, he underwent several complex operations. Since then, he moved with the help of crutches. The last operation was in May 2022, but Yaroslav was not satisfied with it and believed that it did not benefit him. He also missed the times of his football-related youth, sending his friends a photo from the hospital in the same pants in which he once went to matches and fan fights.

"Yarik" was afraid that he would be commissioned and would not be able to return to service. Around the same time, his entire platoon was defeated in Mariupol. A few people survived, but they too were captured. Being practically bedridden, in his last month he often repeated that he had been waiting for a full-scale war for 8 years, had been preparing for it, so he had to be with his comrades in Mariupol. Yaroslav Rudych passed away on June 3, 2022.

- "And the smile didn't leave his face almost until the last day... I will continue our joint work with the same smile," his twin brother Volodymyr recalls Yaroslav.
