Vitalii "Vitakha" Styba is a fan of the football club "Veres" (Rivne).
Vitalii Anatoliiovych Styba was born on June 22, 1999 in Rivne. He studied at the 25th school, and later at the Technical College of his native city. His passion for sports and active recreation at a young age led him to the fan stands of the local club "Veres". During this period Vitalii found many new friends in sports and patriotic communities. In particular, he joined the around-football events as part of the capital's block "Rodichi", of which his team was a part.
His older brother Dmytro recalls that Vitalii was fond of traveling. His steely character at the same time complemented by his boundless kindness contributed to this. He was also a faithful son of Ukraine. At the end of June 2022, Vitalii married his beloved Anna.
He joined the "Honor" special company of the "Da Vinci Wolves" battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to defend his native land. "Vitakha" met his comrades long before the war at patriotic and sporting events. The company commander Serhii recalls: - "He was well respected, he had many friends almost all over Ukraine. When the full-scale invasion began, a large group of ultras joined our unit. Vitalii was one of them. He is extremely honest, steadfast, and courageous. He constantly improved, studied, did not stop for a moment and in a short time reached a high level of military service. I am proud that he became part of our unit".
Vitalii Styba went into his last battle on August 23, 2022. While conducting a sweep in the outskirts of Bakhmut (Donetsk region), the fighters were ambushed. The enemy was significantly outnumbered and outgunned but received a worthy rebuff. As a result, a massive shelling began. "Vitakha" was wounded. We couldn't connect with him. His comrades thought that he died immediately. But soon he got in touch again, but only to report that he would defend Ukraine until his last breath.
On August 29, 2022, the warrior, who showed extraordinary courage and resilience in battle, was buried in the city of Rivne at the "Nove" cemetery. He is survived by his wife and ten brothers and sisters.
