Svyatoslav "Sviat" Aleksapolskyi is a fan of the football club "Tavria" (Simferopol).
Svyatoslav Mykolayovych Aleksapolskyi was born on October 30, 1989 in the city of Saki (Crimea Republic). He studied in Ukrainian classes of Crimean schools and the Crimean Republican boarding school for gifted children in the village of Tankove (Bakhchisarai district), where subjects were taught in English. In 1999-2001, he studied chess at the Simferopol Chess Club. His love for this game will remain with him for the rest of his life, he even planned to get a Master of Sports in chess. In addition, he was actively involved in hiking, regularly went on hikes in the Crimean Mountains, and spent summer vacations in high school at a camp under Mount Ilza, near Slavsky. In his teenage years, he created a Simferopol team with like-minded people, with whom he actively and successfully engaged in parkour. In different years, he engaged in boxing, Greco-Roman wrestling, karate, kickboxing, Thai boxing, pankration and BJJ.
But football was of particular importance in Svyatoslav's life. His mother recalls that her son was very restless since childhood. The father, who was a "walking encyclopedia", told his son: what kind of game is "football" and what are its rules. After that, the boy always tried to play with older children. At first, they chased the kids away, but since Svyatoslav knew the rules of this game perfectly and talked about championships and international tournaments with knowledge, the seniors began to take him to their team from the 5th grade. In 2005, "Svyat" first appeared on the stands of the "Lokomotiv" stadium in Simferopol, and he made his first competitive appearance for "Tavria" in the fall of 2006 in Mariupol. From 2008 to 2012, a member of the DSS team (Simferopol), which was the first among the Crimeans to defeat rivals from Odesa during an arranged meeting. In the future, he was a regular participant in the training of the young team "Young boys". However, he did not miss any opportunity to play football. In Simferopol, he himself assembled teams for joint games, and after leaving the annexed Crimea, in Lviv and Kyiv, he looked for someone to join.
After the 1st year, in the summer of 2008, he went to work and practice under the Work&Travel USA program in the state of Montana, where he himself earned funds for the second year of study at the university. In October 2009, he was called up for military service and sent to military unit 3027 "Bars" in the village of New Petrivtsi. In 2010, he completed military service under contract as a scout of the special purpose reconnaissance company of the special purpose battalion, military unit 3009 of the VV of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Simferopol. In 2011, during his service, he completed the "Professional intervention technique" course from the French gendarmerie le Center National d'Entralnement des Force de Gendarmerie (CNEFG) de Saint-Astier. In 2012, he received an education in the field of "Tourism" at the Crimean Faculty of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, and had a certificate of "tour guide with knowledge of the English language." He was independent and wanted to see the world, in 2013 he received a sailor's passport. He visited many cities of Ukraine, dreamed of future travels around the world, influenced by the books he read by R. Sabatini about the adventures of Captain Blood, the journeys of the characters of J. London and J. Verne. He managed to go to America, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Montenegro and Croatia.
In 2012, Svyatoslav and his friends came to Mykolaiv to compete in the martial arts tournament "I'm Coming to You". It was then that I got to know the Mykolaiv ultras guys. From 2012 until recently - one of the leaders of the Simferopol fan movement and a representative of "Tavrida Boys". Svyatoslav always loved his country and was not afraid to fight for it since the Euromaidan. Despite threats and intimidation, he defended Ukrainian statehood in Crimea in every possible way. Together with friends and teammates, they talked with the director Oleg Sentsov, planned further resistance to the enemy's expansion. He took an active part in all pro-Ukrainian actions and protected peaceful protesters from aunts and kiziaks imported from Russia, who pretended to be pro-Russian Crimeans. After one of the marches in Simferopol, they planned to demolish the monument to Lenin, near which the Tatars were already rallying. But then they supported their speakers, who asked the ultras "not to provoke" and to give 7 days to the authorities to do it themselves. They tried to go to the capital's Maidan, but were rounded up by traitorous employees. "Svyata" and his friends were declared Eurovandals and terrorists by the Russian FSB. The mother saw her son's photo on the pillars of the Kyiv district of the city, the same photo was rotated between advertisements on the monitors of Simferopol trolleybuses. Employees of the local SBU began to come to the house to chat. Therefore, taking care of safety, he took his family to Lviv.
Svyatoslav was highly motivated to protect the Motherland and joined "Azov", he was in the 4th battalion of the 2nd company, but at that time the boys were taken out of the combat zone in the PPD for a long time. When he returned to Lviv, he actively participated in the activities of the Ecocorp and went on raids on mobile zoos and circuses, protected and helped animals. He continued to rescue animals in war zones in the East and South. In the fall of 2016, he joined the "Ze Radiola Team Lviv" team, performed in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu championships of Ukraine, and in February 2017 he received his first medal. He studied blacksmithing and welding while working in a Lviv forge. It was at this time that he made his first tattoo: a blacksmith forging a star in the universe. In the summer of 2017, Svyatoslav signed a contract with the 25th OPDBr. He was saddened by the fact that during his service it was no longer possible to train regularly in the hall, to perform at championships. Even when he was in the war zone, he looked for new methods on the Internet, organized himself with his comrades and practiced. In the future, he dreamed of getting a black belt and teaching BJJ to as many children as possible in a Ukraine free from the occupiers.
He had an offer to train children in Brazilian jiu-jitsu in Lviv, but he transferred to the 95th ODSHBr and moved to Kyiv to live with his bride, with whom he had many plans for the future. In 2019, he completed the course "Professional training of a platoon combat medic." The course took place under the control of Canadian instructors. During his service in the landing party, he was happy to jump with a parachute for himself and his comrades, he had about 15 jumps. When he was at home, he continued running and bodybuilding, and became a student at the Rocket Jiu-Jitsu School. I set myself the goal of getting into the IT field. To do this, I independently found courses, and already in June 2021 I worked at Solvd Inc., was a QA engineer on the Under Armor project. He showed many that it is never too late to develop yourself, become stronger, change your own life. At the same time, "Svyat" was aware of and warned about the coming great war. He prepared for this himself and tried to share his skills and knowledge with loved ones and everyone willing. He said that everyone should have their own military equipment and weapons, so that in the event of a start there is no time to waste.
From the first days of the full-scale war, he once again stood up for the defense of our State. He had a lot of combat experience, so he actively conducted professional training of members of volunteer formations, together with which he took a direct part in the liberation of the Kyiv region. When the fighting in the Kyiv region ended, they gathered a group of Crimeans and went to help their friends from Mykolaiv, where they joined the volunteer unit "Buzky Guard" and all together joined the reconnaissance platoon of the 220th battalion of the 126th brigade of the Russian Army. Comrade Ilya recalls: - "After a rocket hit the building of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, having learned about the death of a large part of his friends from among local volunteers, Svyatoslav gathered a group and arrived in Mykolaiv to his compatriots. As a member of the future volunteers, he worked in the areas of the southern front in the village of Pervomaiske , Partizanske, was engaged in reconnaissance in the areas of Nova Zarya and Tavriyske districts. During one of the reconnaissance operations, a tank hit the car of Svyatoslav's group in the area of Bila Krynytsia, and he himself provided emergency assistance to the commander of the Btgr, who was wounded and led the group out of the affected area."
He performed the duties of a platoon leader in an exemplary manner, having performed many brave deeds, remained simple, you could always turn to him with any question. Since the month of March, he has become a real leader for his brothers. In the summer, he graduated from the military department at the Higher Education Institution "Organization of Moral and Psychological Support" with the rank of reserve junior lieutenant (psychological officer). He remembered his native Crimea and its occupation and dreamed of expelling the enemy and separatists from the peninsula. Svyatoslav Aleksapolsky died in battle on August 29, 2022. During the counteroffensive in the south of Ukraine, while providing fire support to the assault group as part of a sniper pair, they destroyed five enemy personnel. Seeing that part of the personnel of the combat group of the unit was under massive fire and hesitated, not reaching 50 m to the enemy trenches, as a result of the serious wounding of his commander, "Svyat" made a courageous decision to come to the aid of his comrades. By his own example, he raised the unit for a breakthrough at the final stage of the enemy's assault. And it was here, between Novogrigorivka and Lyubomirivka (Mykolaiv region), in battle, trying to save the life of another fighter, that he received non-life-threatening shrapnel wounds from a cluster projectile.
This is how the Warrior died, who was with his comrades to the last. Constantly sought changes and development for our country. He was courageous and remained true to his convictions not in words, but in deeds.
