Igor "Skhet" Solovyov is a fan of "Zorya" football club (Luhansk).
Igor Oleksandrovich Solovyov was born on October 23, 1999 in the city of Dovzhansk (formerly Sverdlovsk, Luhansk Region). He studied at the local school No. 6 until the fifth grade, after which he entered the Cadet Corps named after I.H. Kharitonenko in the city of Sumy, and later continued his studies at the Luhansk Gymnasium No. 60. He was engaged in swimming and football from the first grade. Since childhood, he wanted to win and be the first. His parents remember how he took second place at the first swimming competition at the age of six, and when he got out of the pool he tore up his diploma.
Since childhood, he was very fond of animals, so he went to study at the canine college in the profession of "Kinologist". He played football in one of the local teams in Luhansk. I tried to devote as much time as possible to my favorite sport. Played wherever possible. During the events of the Revolution of Dignity and the beginning of the war in the east of Ukraine, he was still studying at school, and later at college. Igor was very worried that his native Luhansk region was occupied by an aggressor country. That is why he dreamed that yellow and blue flags would fly on this territory as soon as possible. As early as 2015, he began to think about joining the ranks of Azov.
Relatives remember Igor as a sociable and open person. He knew how to make friends, was attentive to people and preferred actions and movement. He strove for self-assertion and independence, actively defended his own positions. He had a developed abstract thinking, was smart and quickly made decisions, always tried to develop not only the body, but also the intellect. In 2019, he moved to Kyiv and started visiting the fan section of Luhansk "Zora". Soon the dream of several previous years came true - in 2020 "Skhet" became a fighter of "Azov".
The beginning of a full-scale invasion was met in Mariupol. Whenever possible, he contacted his parents. They received the last message from the surrounded city on March 20, and on April 11, 2022, Ihor Solovyov died during the fighting as a result of a shrapnel wound to the stomach, which turned out to be incompatible with life. His relatives received the news about the death of the defender of Ukraine only on April 24. The next day, he was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree (posthumously).
In March 2023, the presentation of the book "Mariupol. The Book of the Brave" by Azovstal defender Ruslan "David" took place. On its pages, the author mentions his brother: - "On the day when the Count was mortally wounded, a fighter with the call sign "Skhet" was also seriously wounded. I saw how the guys from his group brought a body to our position, which did not show any signs of life. And it was he - the always smiling guy whom I met on the first day of my stay in Mariupol... I have only warm memories of "Skhet", I knew him not long ago, but we quickly found a common ground language. He was almost the youngest among us. His whole life was ahead of him, he could master many professions, but the city of death buried the young warrior under it forever...".
