Roman "Pastet" Potishka is a fan of the football club "Karpaty" (Lviv).

Roman Mykhailovych Potishka was born on June 13, 1995 in the city of Kropyvnytskyi (formerly Kirovohrad). He studied at Lyceum No. 93 of the Lviv City Council, after which he received his education at the Separate Structural Unit "Kryvorizk Vocational College of the National Aviation University", after which he entered NAU. Dad worked as an air traffic controller, instilled in him a love for aviation. That is why Roman dreamed of being a pilot since childhood. From an early age, he played football, and according to the memories of relatives and friends, he was very good at this sport.

From the 7th grade, Roman started attending "Karpat" matches at the stadium, but the fan sector attracted his attention the most. And already at the age of 14, he and a friend dared to come there for the first time, despite the fact that the boys were a little timid to take this step. Later, a friend will recall one of the matches of that time, namely the game "Karpaty" - "Tavria" on Holy Saturday: - "That time Roman decided to light a huge army smoke. It was not difficult to calculate it, because there were few people in the sector. "Karpaty" they score a goal, Roma ignites, half of the stadium smokes. The match is over, we are leaving the stadium... and here, on the way out, he is detained and taken to the side. Getting to the police station on Holy Saturday was not such an adventure."

Then there were trips to Crimea and trips to Luhansk region, after which I wanted to attend matches abroad. We went to Poland, where we spent the night with friends in the driveway, after which we supported the national team already in San Marino. He took an active part in the events of the Revolution of Dignity together with his friends from the Carpathian fan movement, which his parents learned about later.

In August 2014, he joined the ranks of the newly formed "Azov". In February 2015, he took part in the Pavlopil-Shyrokyn operation, then performed tasks in Shyrokyny and Granitny. Since 2016, he has participated in all combat tasks where a special purpose reconnaissance group was involved: Mar'inka, Krasnohorivka, Svitlodarska Duga, Pavlopil, Popasna and others. "Pastet" was an exemplary soldier, showed leadership qualities and set the highest bar for fire training.

"Pastet" met the full-scale Russian invasion in Mariupol as the commander of the third combat group of the "Azov" self-defense group. During one of the street fights, he was wounded in the femoral artery, lost a lot of blood, and after losing consciousness, he was saved by his brother. He returned from the hospital in 4 days and went to help at the OKP. Despite the fact that he could barely walk, he constantly rushed into battle with his group. Refused the opportunity to be evacuated from the besieged city by helicopter.

On the evening of April 6, 2022, he decided to cross by boat from Azovstal and reunite with his combat group. Already in the morning, the comrades learned that the enemy had hit a boat with an ATGM. Searches from the air turned up nothing. In addition to Roman, other well-known fans died on that boat - Oleksiy Yanin from Zaporizhzhia and Maksym Grachov from Kryvyi Rih.

On March 25, 2022, he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree; On April 17, 2022, he was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree (posthumously), and was also awarded the title of "captain". Farewell to Roman took place more than a year ago at the Lychakiv cemetery in Lviv.

- "Once we had a dialogue with him, in one of the deserted apartments of Mariupol. The phrase "we will accept the fight" sounded from his lips, which characterized him as a courageous and brave fellow. Pav from the hands of the enemy, fighting.
