Oleksandr "Coach" Klushyn is a fan of "Metalist" football club (Kharkiv) and a representative of " Simmer Polecats Crew".
Oleksandr Klushyn was born on February 25, 1994 in Kharkiv. He lived in the Northern Saltovka - the area, which from the first days of the full-scale war was destined to become infamous throughout the country (because of the terrible destructions and a huge number of victims). In childhood, he played football and was into boxing. From the age of 18, he was persistently engaged in MMA. He fought more than 50 amateur fights and 3 professional ones. In 2021, he received the title of Master of Sports in Cossack MMA, became the world champion in mixed martial arts, and received a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
In addition, Oleksandr combined all his activities with the active support of Kharkiv "Metalist" at home and away matches. He was also involved in other aspects of the around-football team, and he soon became one of the leaders. He founded and was a coach of the sports and patriotic club "SPCMMATEAM". The team won prizes in MMA, grappling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitions.
In 2014-2016, he was fighting with the occupiers in the east of the country as part of the "Eastern Corps" unit. In 2022, "Coach" formed and trained a volunteer group of representatives of the ultras movement of Kharkiv "Metalist" under the special police detachment "East". He was one of the first to defend Kharkiv during the full-scale russian invasion.
Oleksandr Klushyn died shortly after the beginning of the great war. The life of the brave Warrior was cut short by a missile strike on the building of the Main Police Department in the Kharkiv region on 02.03.2022. He was 28 years old. Oleksandr Klushyn was buried on the Alley of Glory at cemetery number 18 in Kharkiv. He is survived by his parents, brothers, and sister.
His whole life was the path of a true warrior. He fought in the ring, and he fought with weapons in his hands back in 2015. When the "Eastern Corps" was just created, he and his guys wrote applications to be sent to Donetsk airport. He faithfully served and defended his Motherland. When the enemy decided to attack us, Oleksandr was leading our unit, uniting young and experienced guys around him.
That is what a friend of the fallen Hero said during the farewell ceremony.
