Oleg "Jeweler" Sapalenko is a fan of the "Metalist" football club (Kharkiv), a representative of the SHIZO team.
Oleg Serhiyevich Sapalenko was born on September 23, 1993 in the city of Kharkiv. He studied at city school No. 73, after which he obtained a higher education at the university. From a young age, he was engaged in sports, in particular combat sambo and grappling. He had victories and awards at competitions of the city and all-Ukrainian levels.
He joined the "Metalista" fan movement in 2011, joining the "North Right" sector. He had several successful fights for the AFC and Lazio teams, after which he became interested in the close-knit SHIZO team, to which he was invited for training. He joined the team very quickly, and after the victorious meeting with Dnipro, he was already considered one of the main ones.
In 2014, Oleg was an active participant in the events of the Revolution of Dignity in Kharkiv. He participated in the defense of the office of the Patriot of Ukraine organization on the night of March 14-15. Then pro-Russian militants tried to break the resistance of patriotic Kharkiv residents with the help of firearms. The defenders of the building managed to fight back.
In 2015, he received a jeweler's diploma. It was like a hobby for him. Everything that was related to small details, and that fell into Oleg's hands - he performed flawlessly.
Since 2016, "Jeweler" has been protecting Ukraine from the enemy invasion in the East, and since 2019, it has served as part of the Defense Forces. Teammates and brothers remember Oleg as a difficult, but very kind person. He had a clear civic stance and always helped those in need. Laden was to give his last for a friend. Being a jeweler by education, he had literally "golden" hands, which he skillfully used.
He met the beginning of a full-scale war in the ranks of the Armed Forces as a scout-sniper of the 2nd category of the paratrooper battalion. He was in the Donetsk region. He was a conservationist and worked with children, for whom he was both an older brother and a teacher.
Subsequently, he transferred to the "KRAKEN" unit, which had many of his teammates from the first days of the great war. Having extensive combat experience, he successfully performed combat tasks during the defense of his native city. Oleg Sapalenko died on June 24, 2022, along with several other comrades, during a combat mission in the Kharkiv region.
