Maxim "Sima" Grachov is a fan of the "Kryvbas" football club (Kryvyi Rih), a representative of the "OldSchool Kryvbas" team.
Maksym Olegovich Grachov was born on October 14, 1989 in Kryvyi Rih. He studied at school No. 32, after which he graduated from the Mining Technical School. Maxim was raised by his grandparents. In elementary school, he learned to play the bayan, then attended the sambo section.
He started cheering for "Kryvbas" in the fan sector in the 2006/07 season. He was always among those who are ready to support the team not only outside the stadium, but also to defend the club colors outside it. He was a member of the "Long City" football team, and later continued his fan career together with other representatives of the old school of the Kryvyi Rih movement. Maxim's teammates remember his superpower - to leave the house without planning to go abroad, or just to visit friends or enemies.
In civilian life, Maxim worked as a miner at the Sukha Balka mine. In the fall of 2011, he got married, and the following year his son Ivan was born.
End of 2013 - beginning of 2014: went out to support the Maidan with the local community. The flag of Ukraine has been kept in the family since those times. Took part in the overthrow of the Lenin monument in Kryvyi Rih.
In 2015, he joined the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine, completed training and joined the ranks of the "Azov" regiment, defended the country from the enemy in the hottest spots. He decided to continue his studies and wanted to become a doctor at the end of 2021, but he did not have time to complete his studies. In 2021, he handed over his bulletproof vest with the inscription and chevron "Azov", helmet, uniform and tactical glasses to the ATO museum in Kryvyi Rih.
At the beginning of the full-scale war, "Sima" served in Mariupol. After being wounded in the leg, he continued to defend the city. During the day he repelled the invaders, in the evening he returned to the hospital bed under drips and painkillers. Ruslan "Davyd", author of the book "Mariupol. The book of the brave", recalling Maxim's feat, said that he fought heroically, destroying the invaders until the last day. In just one battle, covering his comrades with a trophy Pecheneg machine gun, he destroyed more than 30 Russian infantrymen.
"Sima" last contacted his relatives on April 6 and reported that the task was not being completed. Maksym Grachov died on April 7, 2022 as a result of an ATGM hitting the boat on which he and his comrades were transporting BC. On that boat were also Oleksiy Yanin - a fan of "Metalurg" from Zaporozhye, and Roman Potishka - a fan of "Karpat" from Lviv.
Awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree (posthumously). On March 16, 2024, the start of the UPL match between "Kryvbas" and "Kolos" was dedicated to the fans of the Kryvyi Rih club who died in the war. Makim Hrachov's son - Ivan, opened this match with the first symbolic kick on the ball.
