Ihor "Kozatsky" Krasnobryzh is a fan of "Mariupol" football club, a representative of "Project 32" team.
Ihor Krasnobryzh was born on March 15, 1995 in Mariupol. Supporting a local same-name team, he joined the fan movement. He joined the sector in 2011. Later, he became a member of the around-football group "Project 32". Representatives of the "Project" had good relations with teams from other cities (in particular, fans of "Shakhtar", "Kryvbas" and Chernihiv "Desna"), and there were many combat brothers among them. He served in the "Azov" regiment since 2014. In 2017, he temporarily left the military service. In 2021, he returned to a separate special designation detachment of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov".
Two months before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ihor, together with his wife Ella and daughter Maya, moved to a new home. They were just starting to get used to living in the apartment and furnish a room for their little daughter, but they did not manage to live there. The war broke out. "Kozatskyi" and his comrades went to the war to confront the enemy, while his family found shelter in a basement on the other side of the city. Since then, Ihor saw them only twice. On March 8 and 12, he came to the house where they were hiding from the enemy shelling the city and took the last photo with his daughter.
Ihor Krasnobryzh died near the Azovstal plant as a result of an enemy ambush. Covering his comrade, he received a bullet in the leg, which hit an artery. He died on the spot. For personal courage and selfless actions, displayed in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the oath of allegiance, exemplary performance of his duty, he was awarded the Medal "For Courage", III degree. Posthumously.
A true warrior of the modern times, who knew the history of his Motherland well and admired great historical figures of the past – gave away the most precious thing to his country. The sacrifice of "Kozatsky" will not only be a source of pride for his daughter and a model of courage for his teammates but also an example of true heroism for all of us.
Our last meeting was on March 12. He also came to see us. He was confused and sad. Because every day the situation in the city was getting worse, maybe he realized that something bad was about to happen soon. When I was talking to him, it seemed as if he was looking past me. I said that I was very worried about him, that I saw the state he was in and it concerned me a lot. On March 15, he had a birthday. He turned 27 years old. On March 16, Ihor died. He is our hero, our support, and our strength. He is my strongest love!
That is how his wife Ella remembers him.
