Heorhii "Cat" Lipskyi is a fan of the football club "Chernomorets" (Odesa).
Heorhii Yuriiovych Lipskyi was born on April 3, 1995 in Odesa. From a young age, he had an active pro-Ukrainian position. He participated in patriotic events. He actively supported "Chernomorets" and was a co-founder of the public organization "Law of Nature", which he founded together with like-minded people. In Odesa, he became known for his volunteer and public activities. In 2020, he ran for the Odesa City Council as a representative of the National Corps party in district No. 1 in the Kyiv city district.
With the onset of a full-scale Russian invasion, Heorhii took up arms and defended his country. In one of the conversations with journalists of a local publication, he admitted that he was well aware of the possibility of an enemy attack, and therefore prepared for the war. Together with his sworn brothers, "Cat" was training near the memorial of the 411th battery, and had his military equipment and his weapons.
After the training at the landfill, Heorhii and his comrades-in-arms were sent to the Kherson direction. Together with many other fans of the clubs of the Ukrainian South, he defended his native land in the 126th Brigade of Territorial Defense. He was a soldier of the 2nd company of the 1st platoon of the "Chimera" unit. Without the opportunity to fully engage in volunteer activities and help animals, the man with a big heart continued to save the pets at the front, caring for those who suffered in the area of hostilities. In the early days of summer, "Cat" was wounded during a battle with an enemy group in one of the settlements of the Kherson region.
In the future, the courageous Odesa resident planned to develop an environmental project to restore the nature of Ukraine and restore his animal protection activities, but he clearly understood that first, it was necessary to kick the invaders out of our land. "The occupier came to our land. To save all the animals in the country, we must have this country," he said. Heorhii Lypskyi died in battle on August 29, 2022, during an offensive on enemy positions. He was buried in the village of Buzkovyi Hai in the Odesa region.
His comrades were able to complete the combat mission thanks to Heorhii. Although Heorhii joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a soldier, he served well, he was an exemplary serviceman and was promoted to the rank of junior sergeant.
