Dmytro "Dlinny" Brazhnikov is a fan of the "Metalist" football club (Kharkiv), a representative of the "Kharkiv City Patriots" team.
Dmytro Oleksandrovich Brazhnikov was born on May 21, 1985 in the city of Kharkiv. Studied at school #74. Dmytro first came to the fan stand in 2001 with several of his friends. Actively supported the team at home matches and attended away games. Together with friends, they quickly formed the KCP team. In later years, he became one of those who significantly contributed to the formation of his fan group as one of the strongest in the country.
Teammates remember "Dlinny" as a loyal friend and devoted fan who could be relied on in any situation. A fight for his home team, or some life situations - he was always a man of few words, he just took and did. He spent a lot of time communicating with young people. He had trust and communicated with many representatives of the younger generation, and for some he even became a named father not only in the fan sector, but also in life.
Having married his beloved Alina in 2019, Dmytro focused on raising his son and devoted less time to fan affairs. However, he was constantly in touch with his friends, took part in the events of his team and the mass outings of "Metalista".
From the first day of the full-scale war, "Dlinny" took up arms to protect his native city from the enemy's onslaught. Together with friends from the fan sector, he joined the ranks of the territorial defense unit, on the basis of which the famous Kraken special unit would later be formed. On the third day of the defense of Kharkiv, Dmitry's best friend, Pavlo "Larry", with whom they had been friends for many years, was killed in a fanatical movement.
Dmytro Brazhnikov's life ended on March 1, 2022, as a result of a direct hit by an enemy missile into the building of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. Starting from the moment of shelling, the brothers could not find Dmytro for a long time, or at least find out some information about him. Later it became known that the courageous Kharkiv resident was one of the 31 defenders of the city who died on that tragic day.
