Denys "Junior" Bondarenko is a fan of the "Sumi" football club, a representative of the "Gentlemen" team.
Denys Oleksandrovych Bondarenko was born in the village of Stetskivka (Sum region) on January 21, 2004. He studied at the comprehensive school of his native village, after which he entered the Institute of Physical Culture of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko. His childhood and youth were not simple, because his parents often quarreled and eventually divorced, and the young man himself and his little sister were raised by grandparents,
At the same time, life's difficulties and troubles hardened the young man and he grew honest, decisive and kind to people. In the school characteristics, it was noted that Denys was always conscientious about his studies, was an active participant in student self-government and had his own opinion on every issue, not being influenced by outsiders. But he realized himself best in sports. He played for the football team of the district and repeatedly won military all-around competitions.
Passion for football and love for sports and a sober lifestyle at a fairly early age led Denys to the fan sector of FC Sumy. In football life, he represented the young generation of the "Gentlemen" team, which was not afraid to accept challenges from larger and more powerful fan teams. He was also an active participant in the youth patriotic movement in Sumy Oblast, in particular the All-Ukrainian children's and youth military-patriotic game "Jura".
With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, "Junior" went to the defense of Mariupol as a part of a special detachment of the "Azov" NSU. Despite his still very young age, he courageously defended the Ukrainian fortress city. Denys Bondarenko died on May 1, 2022 during a breakthrough to Azovstal. Awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree (posthumously).
