Danylo "Brodyaga" Kyrychenko is a fan of "Zorya" football club (Luhansk).
Danylo Kostiantynovich Kyrychenko was born on October 20, 1996 in the city of Luhansk. After the 9th grade of school, he entered the college of the East Ukrainian National University named after Volodymyr Dahl and mastered the profession of an IT engineer. Since childhood, his greatest passion and main hobby was football.
"Zori" got into the fans' tribune at a very young age, starting with active support of the team at home matches and trips to neighboring cities of Donetsk region. To travel with fans - I literally ran away from home. He took the matter seriously. With a warm smile, teammates recall the funny story that when Danylo was accepted into the fan team, he came in a suit, as if to a solemn event. He did not care about other people's opinion. He did not shy away from himself, was open and had a good sense of humor.
Disagreeing with the formation of the so-called LPR at home, the 17-year-old youth joined the ranks of the Aydar volunteer battalion in 2014. Within a year, he became a soldier of a separate special unit of the Azov State University, participated in the Shirokin operation, where he received shrapnel wounds to the thigh and face. Later, Danylo was remembered by his brothers in those days when he was the youngest and still inexperienced, but he was the first to rush into battle. The commanders were worried about him and did not want to take him to task.
The love for football that "Brodyaga" carried throughout his life was also manifested during his service. He actively participated in Azov tournaments, mainly in the position of goalkeeper, and because of his flexibility and jumpiness, his brothers jokingly called him "cat goalkeeper". Whenever possible, he tried not to miss a single Zorya match, and when he and his wife had a daughter, on the second day he watched the broadcast of the game in the maternity hospital with the baby in his arms.
He received the second wound during the battles on the Svitlodar arc, where he spent nine months in 2021-22. As a result of that enemy strike, he lost his best friend. During his service in Azov, he completed officer and sergeant courses. He studied at the Donetsk National University and had the goal of increasing his career. He did not see himself as anything but a military man. The wife remembers how he said that he found himself and his people in the Azov movement. And if such an opportunity were taken away from him, he would not know what to do.
The "Vagabond" met the full-scale Russian invasion in Mariupol, where he lived with his wife and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter. Anticipating the beginning of a great war, he organized the departure of his family to the Dnipro. During the first weeks of the war, together with his comrades, he traveled around the city and performed combat missions. When the defenders of Mariupol left for Azovstal, he also went on a mission, returning to the bunker afterwards. Danylo Kyrychenko died on the night of April 14-15 as a result of an aerial bomb hitting the building, which collapsed the underground floors.
Awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree (posthumously).
